Nurses, carers, physiotherapists, cooks, managers, cleaners, gardeners, administrators, event organisers; it takes a huge range of people to deliver the kind of quality care that has made Coate Water Care the envy of the care sector … 280 at the last count!

Our staff are the key ingredient in the delivery of great care. That is why we make sure we employ only the best people and then we train them to the most exacting standards. We ask a lot of our employees but in return we offer good working conditions and opportunities to progress with us as we grow. Training is ongoing in order to maintain high levels of performance and to comply with all legislation. All managers at Coate Water Care have achieved or are working towards their Registered Managers Award. Our chefs are all qualified in NVQ 2 Hospitality and Professional Catering, RSPH Level 2 Food safety in catering, and Food Hygiene Safety.

All staff at Coate Water Care are required to have two satisfactory references and are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau before starting work.
“I started working for Coate Water Care as a carer at Downs View in 2009. Five years of constant learning and pretty intensive experience later, I am now the Deputy Manager of the home, where we look after residents with severe dementia.” Karen Melody, Deputy Manager, Downs View Care Home.

Recruitment Agencies

Thank you for your interest in working with Coate Water Care.  We receive a vast number of enquiries from recruitment agencies and we cannot possibly keep in touch with all of you, although we do appreciate the interest you have in working with us.

We are fortunate in that we are approached directly by many candidates, so it is rare for us to work with recruitment agencies, but when we do, we refer to our Preferred Supplier List (PSL).  This list is reviewed periodically, however at this time we are happy with the agencies that we are currently partnered with, so we do not have any plans to review our PSL at this time.

Most importantly – please do not contact any Coate Water Care managers and colleagues directly. All recruitment queries and communication should be facilitated through our Recruitment Team via recruitment@coatewatercare.co.uk, however please be aware that your communication may not be responded to promptly, due to the sheer volume of enquiries we receive on a daily basis.  Additionally we are unable to take cold calls from agencies who are not on our PSL.
